Audio/video recordings replace meetings' minutes in Hudson

Hudson -- The minutes from three meetings will include a brief written record and an audio/video recording.

Council members May 7 unanimously approved an ordinance that would allow minutes from meetings of the city's Board of Zoning and Building Appeals; Planning Commission; and Architectural and Historic Board of Review changed from written meeting minutes to a brief written record and an audio/video recording to serve as the board's official meeting minutes.

The city Council uses brief minutes and audio/video recordings, which can be accessed from the city's website www.hudson.oh us. The Board of Zoning and Building Appeals, Planning Commission, and Architectural and Historic Board of Review meet at Town Hall where recording equipment is installed, according to Communications Manager Jody Roberts.

The change would not be immediate, perhaps after July, and would require some education on agenda changes to coordinate meetings with the video recordings in a similar way as Council's meetings, Roberts said.
