Hudson City Council hires search firm to find city manager

Published:

City Council President Hal DeSaussure announced that Hudson City Council has employed Novak Consulting Group from Cincinnati to conduct the search for a city manager.

Novak Consulting specializes in executive recruiting for local governments, primarily in the Midwest. The firm is gathering information and will be interviewing the mayor, Council members and key staff.

Prior to hiring Novak Consulting, City Council first engaged a consultant to perform a preliminary assessment of Hudson goals and challenges and identify critical skill sets necessary for an effective Hudson City Manager.

The search is expected to take at least 60 days.

Currently, Scott Schroyer is the Interim City Manager, having served as the Assistant City Manager prior to the mutual seperation agreement with former City Manager Anthony Bales.

According to DeSaussure, City Council is committed to selecting the best possible candidate with the right attributes and skills for the position.
