The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch at 9:27 a.m. today for Portage County that will remain in effect from Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon.
A winter storm system is forecast to pass through the greater Cleveland area Tuesday evening, according to NWS, that could possibly bring 6 to 10 inches of snow and winds ranging from 10 to 20 m.p.h. Visibility could be as little as a quarter-mile during the storm. Temperatures will hover around the mid 20s.
Other counties included in the winter storm watch include Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Ashtabula, Huron, Medina, Summit, Trumbull, Richland, Ashland, Wayne, Stark, Mahoning and Holmes.
