The Hudson Library & Historical Society encourages residents to put their name forward for election to the Board of Trustees.
This year there are three positions available. They consist of: three, three year terms. Candidates are required to be Hudson residents and at least 18 years old. They must also have a valid CLEVENET library card. Candidates will be elected by the membership at the Library's Annual Meeting Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. in the Flood Meeting Room at the library. All candidates must attend this meeting to be eligible for the board.
Board members are responsible for Library funding and development, and for planning the short and long-term goals of the Library.
"We provide financial oversight and assistance with library policy to make sure that the goals of the library are met, and most importantly board members serve as the library's representatives to the community," said Denise Gibson, chairperson of the Nominating Committee.
Application forms are available at the Library's Circulation Desk and online at www.hudsonlibrary.org. Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Jan. 20.
