Hudson -- Council members Oct. 2 unanimously approved legislation to use audio/video for recording workshops with minutes written up after the meeting.
According to the new legislation, the Council Clerk will attend regular Council meetings but is excused from attending Council workshops, according to Scott Schroyer, assistant city manager.
The clerk will write up minutes from the audio/video the next day. The written record would still be published and approved by Council. The city said it would reduce overtime hours for the Council clerk.
Council will look at the meetings of other boards and commissions in the future to determine if audio/video records will be used for them.
