Hudson Farmers Market is planning one more fun-filled weekend outside. The market's annual Fall Festival is Sept. 28, the last day of the outdoor market. The day will start out as usual with vendors open for business at 9 a.m. Throughout the morning various activities are planned to celebrate fall and the end of the outdoor market season.
The festivities at Saturday's market will include the announcement of the winners of the market's Picture This 2014 Calendar Contest. Irish music from Akron Ceili Band will highlight the coming together of the community for the market's traditional end of season celebration. Artist Shannon Casey will offer charcoal portrait services and youngsters will be able to paint a free pumpkin to add to their fall decorations at home. Several vendors will offer pumpkins and other fall decorations, as well.
For those who have started thinking about fall cleanup, this weekend's market will feature several vendors offering relaxing bath and body products people can stock up on before facing those cleaning projects. Students from Hudson Montessori School will also show their entrepreneurial spirit by setting up at the market on Saturday.
