Wellness Day at Hudson Farmers Market is Aug. 31.
Visitors will be able to talk to health and wellness practitioners, collect informational material and sample healthy recipes. The market opens at 9 a.m. and runs through 12:30 p.m. on the Clock Tower Green in downtown Hudson.
The day will begin with a 9 a.m. yoga demonstration from the folks at Jand Yoga, 86 Owen Brown St., Hudson. Two cooking demonstrations are planned for the day, as well.
Alyssa D'amico of Niche Wellness, www.nichewellness.com, will talk about eating for optimum health during her 10 a.m. Fermented Foods cooking demonstration. Niche Wellness's mission is to help individuals balance their body through food, become conscious and educated consumers and connect to real local food.
At 11 a.m., Christina Shahriari of Home 4 Lunch, www.home4lunch.com, will discuss allergy-free cooking. Shahriari, a Hudson Farmers Market vendor, will share her personal experience with gluten-free, casein-free, sugar-free, egg-free and nut-free cooking, which has inspired her family owned business.
Market visitors are also invited to check out the services offered by Healthy Core Wellness, ActiveLife Care and others at the market on Saturday.
