Hudson -- Council members March 6 disagreed on funding and debated a new two-year agreement with the technology-based business incubator it supported in 2011 and 2012.
The resolution authorizes the city manager to enter into a grant funding agreement with Technology Entrepreneurial Centers of Hudson for $50,000 with a matching grant up to $25,000 in 2013 and $25,000 with a matching grant up to $25,00 in 2014. Both amounts are less than originally proposed in 2012.
The city of Hudson has been the main financial supporter for the TECHudson business incubator, providing $374,000 in the last two years -- $174,000 in 2011 and $200,000 in 2012, but expects TECHudson to raise more of its own funding in the future.
A special Council meeting is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 before a Council workshop. It would be the second reading for the legislation.
