Hudson City delays paving Hines Hill Road until next year

The city will wait until next year to pave Hines Hill Road.

City Council Tuesday supported City Engineer Thom Sheridan's proposal to "scrap" legislation that called for the road to be paved in 2013.

The city had hoped to add bike lanes along Hines Hill, but removed the lanes from the proposal because of the potential impact on wetlands.

Sheridan said he could use more time to investigate the costs and alternatives. The delay would not impact the federal funding for the paving, he said.
