The Hudson Library and Historical Society is seeking candidates for three board of directors openings.
"We are looking to fill three positions, each for a three-year term. The terms will commence Feb. 24, 2013," said Rafael McLaughlin, chairman of the library's nominating committee.
Candidates are required to be Hudson residents, at least 18 years old, and have a valid CLEVNET library card.
Candidates will be elected by the membership at the library's annual meeting at 2 p.m. Feb. 24 in the library's Flood Family Meeting Room. All candidates must attend this meeting to be eligible for election to the board.
Board members are responsible for library funding and development, and for planning the short and long-term goals of the library.
"We are not in charge of daily operations, but we do provide oversight and assistance in making sure goals are met, and serve as the library's representatives to the community," McLaughlin said.
Application forms are available at the library's circulation desk and online at www.hudsonlibrary.org under Administration.
Applications must be received by 5 p.m. Jan. 28. For more information, visit www.hudsonlibrary.org or call 330-653-6658.
