Recycle Christmas trees into Merry Mulch with city

Published:

The city of Hudson provides its Merry Mulch free pick-up program for live Christmas trees following the holidays.

Trees must be on the curb by 7 a.m. on the scheduled pick-up date. The trees will be processed into mulch. This program is not intended for removal of brush or other live decorations such as wreaths or garland.

Trees must be free of wires, decorations, tree stands, plastic bags/plastic wrap and ornaments.

The city has divided the city into four quadrants using state routes 91 and 303 for tree pickup. Quadrant 1 is Northwest Hudson, Quadrant 2 is Northeast Hudson, Quadrant 3 is Southwest Hudson, and Quadrant 4 is Southeast Hudson.

Pickup dates are:

• Quad 1: Jan. 7, 11, 17, 23 and 29;

• Quad 2: Jan. 8, 14, 18, 24 and 30

• Quad 3: Jan. 9, 15, 21, 25 and 31;

• Quad 4: Jan. 10, 16, 22 and 28, and Feb. 1.
