Car dealership asks Hudson Council to delay vote on rezoning request

Hudson - Owners of the new Volkswagen dealership on Darrow Road have asked Council to delay voting on their request to rezone portions of the property for a year.
Collection Auto Group has asked Council to table its request to rezone portions of the property from residential to commercial to allow for future expansion. Its lawyers did not like the language in a proposed conservation easement agreement with the city and nearby homeowners requiring four of six neighboring residential landowners to approve any change in the easement on the dealership’s property, Council President David Basil said at the Nov. 13 Council workshop.
Collection Auto Group officials report that they will know in a year whether they will proceed with the rezoning request and expansion plans.
