Around Ohio: Coffee thrown on man in election argument

Coventry Township -- A 58-year-old Coventry Township man is facing an assault charge after an incident at a polling location. Around 8 a.m. Election Day, a Summit County Sheriff's deputy was called to 725 Portage Lakes Drive. A man was displaying political signs when he said another man started shouting obscenities at him from inside his vehicle. The victim said he told the driver he was more than 100 feet from the door of the polling location and therefore within his legal right to post political signs when the driver allegedly continued to shout at him and eventually threw a cup of coffee in his face. The driver was issued a summons for assault, a first-degree misdemeanor. -- FROM STAFF REPORTS Kucinich reports break-in at Ohio home Cleveland -- Police are investigating a break-in at the Cleveland home of Congressman Dennis Kucinich. The Democrat says he discovered his house had been ransacked when he arrived home Nov. 5 from Washington. Cleveland police say the initial report indicated someone entered the home through a rear window and scattered some files, but it appeared nothing was taken. It's not clear when the break-in occurred, and police have no suspects. Detectives also are investigating a break-in Nov. 5 at House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's wine country home in northern California. Police haven't said there's any connection between the two cases. -- ASSOCIATED PRESS
