Ohio State University Extension and the Summit County Master Gardeners are accepting applications for the next Master Gardener Basic Training Class to be offered starting Aug. 1 and running through Oct. 17.
The Ohio State University Extension Master Gardener Program is a volunteer educational program designed to meet the horticultural needs of citizens of Ohio. Its purpose is to train volunteers and use their expertise to teach people more about plants, their culture, and their importance to the environment and to our quality of life.
The class will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, at the Summit County Extension office and other various locations. Applications will be accepted until June 10, but space is limited.
