Carlos Jones & the P.L.U.S. Band reschedule Music in the Meadow concert

July 30 new date for free, family-friendly series

Brecksville, Ohio – Cuyahoga Valley National Park is pleased to announce that Carlos Jones & the P.L.U.S. Band have been able to reschedule their Music in the Meadow performance. The concert will take place on Wednesday, July 30, 2014. The original date had to be canceled due to poor site conditions following heavy rain.

Carlos Jones & the P.L.U.S. Band perform an evening concert of soulful roots reggae with infectious rhythms and creative percussion. Their repertoire includes original songs, popular covers, and traditional Rastafarian Nyabinghi drum chants delivered in an uplifting, positive package.

Grab a blanket and a picnic dinner and bring the family to this free concert series at Howe Meadow. The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with family activities. Concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. The concert series is presented by Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park, with support from Audio-Technica, the Lloyd L. & Louise K. Smith Memorial Foundation, Woodsy’s Music, the Gay Community Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation, and the National Park Foundation. Alcohol is prohibited. Donations to support this series will be accepted at each event. In the event of severe weather, the concert will be cancelled and this information made available at
