FINDLAY, Ohio (AP) -- A northwest Ohio philanthropist has died less than two months after announcing he would leave about $20 million to a community foundation, with much of it going to the collegiate basketball program he followed with devotion for six decades.

A spokeswoman for the Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation says 79-year-old William Frack of Findlay died Wednesday at a funeral home.

The Courier in Findlay (http://bit.ly/1msvmZk ) reports the donor, known as Bill, announced his gift for the community foundation in April.

Three-fourths of it was directed to the Bowling Green State University men's basketball program. Estimates suggest that endowment could generate about $675,000 a year.

The remainder of the gift was for addressing homelessness and domestic violence.
