Marcelita's hosts Karaoke party for kids, and a good cause

Children and their families are invited to a karaoke party Nov. 17 from noon to 4 p.m. at Marcelita's Mexican Restaurant, 7774 Darrow Road.

A karaoke DJ will be there with a playlist of almost any song imaginable -- from Sesame Street to Lady Gaga -- according to organizers. Everyone who sings gets a treat, and there will be nachos. Marcelita's full menu will be also be available for purchase.

The event supports the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Donations of any amount are appreciated and will go directly to the organization to help fund research and provide services for blood cancer patients and their families. For more information, email sjcash@pol.net.
