Hudson Interscholastic Equestrian team is champ

The Hudson Interscholastic Equestrian Team hosted a competition last month at Lake Erie College.

Ten high school and middle school teams competed for two days in equitation.

Each level rider jumped different height fences on horses they were not familiar with.

The high school team was champion the first day of the competition and the reserve champion on the second day. On the first day, Lily Shaughnessy was high-point champion. On the second day, Marianna George was high-point champion.

Giuliana LaMarca, second and fourth in jumping, third and fifth on flat; and sportsmanship award

Elaina Schimer, second and fifth in jumping, second and third on flat; and sportsmanship award

Lewis Schimer, fifth on flat

Jenna Kara, second and fifth in jumping; and fourth and second on flat

Shaughnessy, first and first in jumping; and first and fifth on flat.

George, second and first in jumping; and second and first on flat

Remy Stock, third on flat

Jenna Ito, sixth and second in jumping; and second and fifth on flat

Elizabeth Lindy, fourth and first on flat

Madison McMillan, first jumping; and second and fifth on flat.
