Hudson - "Farmers Markets" is the theme of an exhibition of original artwork by Hudson Society of Artists opening Aug. 28, at the Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation Gallery located at 10 W. Streetsboro St. (Rt. 303), in Hudson. The gallery is free and open to the public weekdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and for special announced events including 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 12 and Oct. 10 during Hudson's Seconnd Fridays Art Hop.

Hudson Society of Artists is a group of individuals interested in furthering artistic endeavors in the community. Artists, several of whom are professionals, are from Hudson and a number of nearby communities. The work for this exhibition has been created recently, with the theme of Farmers Markets especially in mind. Artist talks will be held during the Sept. 12 reception.

Art Hop on Second Fridays in Hudson is a new collaboration by local Hudson artists, created to offer the community a firsthand view inside artists' studios and an opportunity to visit galleries around town to see the work being created in Hudson's expanding arts community.

"Farmers Markets" continues through Oct. 27. The Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation Gallery hosts several exhibitions each year, to learn more about the gallery and the Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation, visit www.mcmfdn.org.
