AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Civic Theatre is excited to present the return of The Akron Craft Beer Festival and the full screening of the documentary “CRAFT” on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014 at 8 pm.
If you love beer, this is an event you won’t want to miss. Enjoy appetizers, great selections of beers from the best craft breweries Ohio has to offer along with breweries from Europe. Attendees will also view the Akron premiere of the documentary "CRAFT."
Breweries that will be represented are: Fat Head’s, Thirsty Dog, Revolution, Stone Brewing, and Great Divide, Left Hand, Hoppin’ Frog, North Coast, Two Brothers, Breckenridge, Boulder, Jolly Pumpkin, Sixpoint, Jackie - O's, Crafted, Dogfish Head, Alltech, Unibroue and featuring imports of: Brouweij, La Trappe, Meantime, and Schneider. This year look for the exclusive tastings of Punk Hardcore, Dogma, 5 AM, and Saint from Scotland's own craft brewery BrewDog, known from the popular television show BrewDog now in its second season on Esquire Network and exclusive beers from MadTree will also be here, which is only distributed in Southern Ohio! Crafted Artisan Meadery will also be bringing a special keg.
This year's movie will feature the Northeast Ohio screening of "CRAFT." The documentary focuses on craft beer. Its director-producer, Craig Noble, immerses himself in his subject areas. He studied brewing and became a cicerone along the way. The Movie will go behind the scenes to look at how these trailblazers, rogues and misfits craft better beer.
The Civic’s Craft Beer Tasting and screening of CRAFT will be on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 8:00pm. Ticket prices for adults are $30 per person. All attendees must be 21 years and older.
