Bike & Hike Trail in Stow to be closed for 3 days

Closure begins during week of Aug. 4

Published:

The section of the Bike & Hike Trail located between Sowul Boulevard and Norton Road in Stow will be closed from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. for three days during the week of Aug. 4 as updates are made to existing utilities. The exact days are to be determined, and the construction schedule is subject to change due to weather. Updates on the closure will be available at summitmetroparks.org and via Twitter (@metro_parks).

The 34-mile Bike & Hike Trail was one of the first "rails to trails" conversions in the country. It follows the course of the old Akron, Bedford & Cleveland (ABC) Railroad beginning in southern Cuyahoga County and running south and east to Munroe Falls.
