There’s a lot to love about summer in the Metro Parks, and these FREE outdoor July performances should be counted among them:

Tuesday, July 1, 5 – 8 p.m.
MUSIC BY THE LAKE
Munroe Falls Metro Park / Lake Area

Enjoy an evening of free lake swimming from 5 to 8 p.m. and live music at 6:30 by the all-volunteer Metro Parks Ensemble. Bring a chair or blanket. Concert cancelled if it rains. If wet weather is in the forecast, call 330-865-8060 after 4 p.m. for status.

Tuesday, July 8, 5 – 8 p.m.

Saturday, July 12, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
AMERICANAFEST
F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm / Visitors Center
1828 Smith Rd., Akron
Spend the day celebrating all things American. Listen to the soothing sounds of a jazz band, watch master woodcarver Tom Baldwin create his award-winning duck decoys, be entertained by Foster Brown on the banjo and learn how to make an apple pie over a campfire using pie irons. Crafts, refreshments and a duck-calling contest are included in this fun-filled day! The award-winning BBQ food truck, Pig Lickin' Good BBQ, will be selling lunch on site. BALLET HISPANICO OF NEW YORK

The City of Akron presents Ballet Hispanico of New York as part of the Heinz Poll Summer Dance Festival. Includes an interactive children's program by the UA Dance Institute at 7:45 p.m. For information, call 330-375-2311.
