A Children's Theatre (ACT) of Hudson announces its summer musical production, "Kilroy Was Here!"
The show is a musical comedy salute to the early 1940s. The actors guarantee there won’t be a dry eye in the house after the stirring ’Together We Must Stand’ and a tribute to all branches of the military. Still, Kilroy is a comedy and the setting is a U.S.O. Club in Brooklyn in 1942. Private Joe Kilroy is a young soldier who draws a curious cartoon face everywhere he goes (and is this causing trouble!). He’s the only one who knows where the next Allied convoy will converge. The enemy agents are stopping at nothing to learn his secret. The action builds to an exciting finale during a wild radio broadcast.
The talented cast includes Ellie Advent, Avery Bach, Lydia Bach, Meredith Bach, Isabella Calve, Jamison Cart, Mary Castrigano, Olivia Chauvin, Madeline Coates, Jacob Cox, Mitchell Cox, Davey Delambo, Addy Fritsch, Hallie Fritsch, AJ Fulco, Steve Greer, Ben Hackenberg, Ashley Hitchcock, Sydney Jones, Hanna Killeen, Kelsey Lowman, Jenna Lund, Eliza Pierson, Maya Polen, Will Price, Caroline Ricard, Sophia Ricard, Joey Ross, Kelly Ross, Lindsey Ross, Julia Silverman, Katelyn Sobczak, Hayley Stein, Quinn Sullivan, Claire Suntken, and Grace Turner. Our director, Beth Polen, is the Vocal Music Director at Perry High School.
Performances will be at the Barlow Community Center, 41 S. Oviatt St. on Friday, June 20 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, June 21 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 22 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets will be available at the Learned Owl Book Shop and at the door for $6.
