Author Iris Llewellyn Angle will be at The GriefCare Place in Stow, 4499 Darrow Road, to do a reading from her book "Tell Your Story Walking: One Mother's Legacy - A Healing Journey of Grieving, Surviving and Thriving" on April 22 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Angle lost her son to suicide in 1993.
The GriefCare Place opened its doors in June of 1997 and since then has helped 10,000 grievers from 64 communities in Northeast Ohio. Its mission is to provide a safe place where those grieving the death of a loved one can find support, education, understanding, hope, and a caring place to heal. The GriefCare Place is a non-denominational faith-based organization that offers a home-like atmosphere to all who are in need comfort and understanding.
Printed materials and audio visual resources are available in the center’s resource library to encourage those who have experienced the death of a loved one and for those who desire to help the bereaved.
The GriefCare Place mission is to provide a safe place where grievers gather together – under the guidance of a trained facilitator – to educate and uplift each other throughout the healing journey.
Books for the event will be provided by The Learned Owl Bookshop at the event.
