'Cat in the Hat' presented by Magical Theatre Company starts May 2

Magical Theatre Company, Northeast Ohio’s professional resident and touring theatre for young audiences and families, closes its 2013-2014 resident season with Dr. Seuss’ the Cat in the Hat.

Peals of laughter and squeals of delight are, of course, on the menu. The Cat in the Hat is directed by Dennis O’Connell, and features professional actors Terry Cranendonk of Akron as that rascally cat, Adam Hoffman of Stow as the fish, as well as a talented group of young actors including Marci Payne of Canton and Brock Withers of Wadsworth as Sally and her brother; and Katie Petit of Akron and Katelyn Zeitz of Wadsworth as Thing 1 and Thing 2.

The Cat in the Hat runs May 2 - 10 and is most enjoyed by families ages 4 and up. Public Performances are Fridays at 7:30 pm, Saturdays at 2 pm and 7:30 pm, and Sunday May 4 at 2 pm. Tickets are $9 & $11 per person. Opening Night (May 2) tickets are $11 and $13 per person and include a post-performance reception.
