Music from The Western Reserve presents Marimba Masters March 16

Music from The Western Reserve's distinguished music series continues its 31st season March 16 with Marimba Masters, five accomplished percussionists including Mell Csicsila, Bruce Golden, Matthew Hunsaker, Dylan Moffitt and Andrew Pongracz.

Together these amazing artists have more than 50 years experience as percussionists performing, teaching and composing. The quintet members have appeared with among others, the Cleveland and Toledo Orchestras, Toledo Ballet and Opera, Firelands Symphony, Cleveland Pops, chamber orchestras, Cleveland Playhouse Square Foundation and numerous artists.

These spirited and inspired musicians perform with bold energy, and a presicion and intricacy not often heard. Enjoy the magical experience of the deep-toned xylophonic sounds of the Marimba Masters Quintet featuring pieces by Mozart, Rachminoff, Bizet, Hindemith and Scott Joplin.

The concert venue, Christ Church Episcopal, 21 Aurora Street, Hudson. Concert time is 5 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at The Learned Owl in Hudson or at the door. Adult tickets $18; students free.

The concert is sponsored in part by the Hudson Rotary Foundation. There will be a meet-the-artist reception immediately following the concert sponsored by WKSU-FM.
