HCTV Program Schedule: Feb. 24- March 2, 2014

HCTV has been given an exciting opportunity to be the first station to show "My Time with The Beatles" which presents the recollections of Art Schreiber about his 32-days of radio coverage of The Beatles' first concert tour in the United States. Being news director for KYW of Cleveland at the time, Schreiber covered the tour as a news story, doing 15 reports a day. His presentation includes audio recordings along with his recollections that establish the context of the time. The program is provided by Hudsonite Terry Williams who worked with Art at WERE and KYW in Cleveland. "My Time with The Beatles" will be shown every night this week at 8 p.m.

Hudson Community First's program "Fostering Mental Wellness in our Children and Teens: A Parent's Guide to Promoting Resiliency" by Dr. Georgette Constantinou of Akron Children's Hospital will continue to be shown this week.

Last week's Hudson High School Orchestra concert is presented on HCTV starting Thursday evening.

"Memory Matters for ALL Ages" discusses creating effective memory fitness programs and the wide variety of areas that can benefit, not only for memory but for successful aging.

The Hudson Genealogical Study Group presents Bob Mantell talking about Collateral Lines.

Music from the Buckeye State completes the month of February with exhilarating chamber music from the recent Kent/Blossom Music Festival. Featured on this week's program is a Phantasy by Benjamin Britten, A Nonet by the 19th century composer Louis Spohr, and Franz Schubert's magnificent "Trout" Quintet. The show is produced by Brian Suntken.

The Spelling Bee of the Hudson Middle School will be shown this week.

Hudson Rotary Club presents Tom Lix, President and CEO of Cleveland Whiskey: "Entrepreneurial Start Up and the Unique Way Whiskey Is Made."

The City Club of Cleveland welcomes Karen Mossberger, Ph.D, Professor of Public Administration at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
