Explore the outer reaches of the universe with the Nature Realm

Join Naturalists Dave Brumfield and Pat Rydquist to learn about constellations in an inflatable planetarium during the following free programs at F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm, 1828 Smith Road, Akron. Registration, required for each program, begins January 10 by calling 330-865-8065.

• Saturday, January 18, 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. & 3 p.m.
• Monday, January 20, 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. & 3 p.m.
        
Participants must be 9 or older. Programs will last about 45 to 60 minutes.

A special session is also available for homeschoolers, ages 11 to 14, Friday, January 17 at 1 p.m. Registration for this session begins December 27 by calling 330-865-8065. No students will be allowed to attend without an adult companion.

“Participants will learn how and when to identify some common constellations,” said Brumfield. “They can use this knowledge to explore the night sky from their own back yards during Ohio’s crisp, clear winter nights.”
