Holiday Pops returns to The University of Akron's EJ Thomas Hall with a festive mix of traditional and contemporary favorites Dec. 20 at 7:30 p.m. Maria Sensi Sellner will lead the Akron Symphony Orchestra and Akron Symphony Chorus in a program that includes popular classics like "We Wish You a Merry Christmas," "Winter Wonderland" and "The Christmas Song," selections from "The Nutcracker," excerpts from "Messiah," a suite of Christmas spirituals and more.

Akron RubberDucks owner, Ken Babby, will also make a special appearance to conduct the orchestra on "Sleigh Ride."

"While growing up, my mother Ellen exposed me to the wonderful world of classical music," said Babby. "She helped me realize how important music and culture are for a community, so I consider it a great honor to be invited by the Akron Symphony to serve as guest conductor."

Adults and children alike will also enjoy a visit from Santa, a holiday sing-along, complimentary candy canes and music in the lobby performed by a horn quartet comprised of students at The University of Akron.
