Events at The Log Cabin Gallery in Peninsula through December

The following events are going on at the Log Cabin Gallery through the end of the year.

The Winter At The Cabin Exhibit runs now through Dec. 22 on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday by appointment. The Log Cabin Gallery's Winter at the Cabin Exhibit features 22 local artists/artisans in a variety of styles and mediums including metal, clay, glass, fiber, fabric, paper, wood and stone. They are exhibited in a restored 1850s log cabin [nestled in the trees, perched above the Cuyahoga River, and located in the backyard of a private residence].

The Winter at the Cabin Exhibit features the following 22 local artists: Patricia Bakos, Gemstone Items; Brittany Bryant, crystal jewelry; Gabriele Bryant, stained glass art; Sofia Calderwood, jewelry and metalwork; Pamela Z. Daum, upcycled jewelry; Dave Derrig, Raku ceramics; Cathie Gordon, primitive rug hooking; Bob Hansen, wild bird carvings; Heidi Holub, jewelry; Lisa Kane, glass; Tammy Lang, jewelry and gourds; Kristi Ann Lavell, fiber; Russ O‚Brien, blown art glass; L. Michael Peterson, architectural clay; Dave Repicky, ceramic art; Diane Seskes, photography; Lucille Seskes, traditional quilting and piecing; Tracy Shea, functional pottery; Diane K. Talmadge, oil and acrylic painting; Jill Troppe, stained glass; Gwen Waight, mixed media and Jennifer Worden, glass.

Peninsula's Candlelight Walk - Dec. 5 from 5 to 9 p.m. Follow the luminaries up North Canal Street for roasting chestnuts on an open fire. The cost will be $4 a bag. Enjoy complimentary cookies baked by artist Lisa Kane as people shop for locally crafted, unique gifts during at the Winter at the Cabin Exhibit. Warm up around the campfire and don't forget to view the North Pole from the scenic overlook.

Christmas in Peninsula - Dec. 7. Holiday memories for the entire family are made here. Support local and shop for unique gift items from galleries, shops and businesses. Ride the train, pick out a Christmas tree, have a picture taken with Santa, living reindeer, Frosty, the Grinch, and Santa himself.
