Hudson resident singer/songwriter Kevin Conaway released his new single, "The Day You Lost Your Crown" on Oct. 29.
"The Day You Lost Your Crown" is a song that was written about LeBron James's decision to leave Cleveland. As a die-hard Cleveland sports fan, and someone who loves the community in general, the song captures Conaway's feelings of resentment and bitterness toward "The Decision." Kevin hopes that other Clevelanders will hear the song and be able to relate to the subject.
"I remember watching 'The Decision' live when it happened and feeling disgusted," says Kevin on the topic of James. "I consider what he did to not only be disgraceful, but a slap in the face to the community that I love."
The hard rock song, and the accompanying acoustic version, was released to iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and other online retailers on TueOct. 29, one day prior to the start of the Cleveland Cavaliers regular season.
Kevin Conaway has previously released several recordings, spanning back to 2006. Kevin's music is inspired by alternative bands and artists such as Toad the Wet Sprocket, Jimmy Eat World, Howie Day, and Oasis, and incorporates intelligent lyrics with infectious hooks.
