The Aurora Trio will perform a concert on Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. in the Chapel on the campus of Western Reserve Academy.
The free performance will include Suite for Violin, Clarinet and Piano by Darius Milhaud, Contrasts by Béla Bartok, Trio by Aram Khatchaturian, and will conclude with Serenade for Three by Peter Schickele.
The Aurora Trio consists of pianist Yuka Nakayama-Lewicki, clarinetist Jennifer Hublin and violinist Andréa Belding, who are all faculty members at the Aurora School of Music. In addition to their work together, Hublin teaches clarinet at WRA and is a member of the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra in Columbus, Belding plays first violin with the Black River String Quartet and electric violin with Seafair, and Nakayama-Lewicki is an active solo and chamber pianist.
They have performed together in the Tabernacle Artists Series in Indianapolis; at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, N.Y.; and throughout the Cleveland area, including an appearance at the 80th birthday party of Robert Conrad, longtime host of the Cleveland Orchestra broadcasts on radio station WCLV. Later this month they will appear on Eric Kisch's show, Musical Passions, on WCLV.
