The 15th annual 4Wheel Drive Hardware Jeep Jamboree will hit the ground wheeling Sept. 27 and 28 in Columbiana, Ohio. Admission is free and Jeep events span the spectrum from a rock crawl to a parade to a zombie tent. Last year’s edition had over 1,000 Jeeps attending and this year 4x4 enthusiasts will gather for vendors, food concessions, a Scratch n’ Dent tent and a club booth.
Back by popular demand is the Jeep Parade happening on Sept. 27. The Jeep parade was missing in action at last year’s jamboree and the event committee was determined to bring it back. “When we moved the Jamboree into September there was a conflict with a football game so we couldn’t do it last year,” said Adam Pratt, 4WD Sales Supervisor.
“The parade is open to all types of Jeeps and various colors, sizes, and models will be wheeling,” said 4WD Customer Service Representative Kristina Coburn. Over 250 Jeeps are expected to line up at the Firestone Park on E. Park Ave in Columbiana beginning Friday at 5 p.m. “If you have a Jeep and want to show it off and throw some candy, we want you there,” said Coburn.
This year’s 4WD Jeep Parade will be sponsored by Currie Enterprises and there will be a drawing for parade participants. Currie Enterprises will be giving away one of their RC Cars to one lucky winner. Additionally, there will be giveaways happening throughout the event.
“We’re going to have a couple people made up as zombies selling Jeepers vs. Zombies t-shirts, posters, and hunting permits to promote our sweepstakes,” says Pratt. The 4WD Last Man Standing Jeepers vs. Zombies sweepstakes went live in September and is awarding headlights, a winch, and a set of tires as monthly prizes. Plans are to post a life-sized photo of the Last Man Standing Jeep where attendees can take their picture with it.
But it won’t all be zombies - the Jamboree sports a family friendly atmosphere and a little Jeepers tent will be set up for the kids. A Jeep club booth will promote clubs and a local high school team is coming to do a Jeep wash for donations to help their team. Additionally, a live band and deejay will entertain crowds and onsite vendors will be offering Jeep accessories.
