Meet author Sharon Hunter at the Learned Owl Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. with her second book, "Love on the Ranch."
A romance reader at heart, Hunter of Steetsboro took up writing in her late forties, finally fulfilling her life-long dream. Encouraged by her husband, Jeff, and a handful of special girlfriends, she's developing into an inspiring romance writer. Most of her writings revolve around her dreams and she enjoys twisting and turning them into a tangled web for a passionate, creative love affair.
"Love On The Ranch," the sequel to "The Rancher's Wife," is a modern day contemporary romance. The sweet but spicy romance continues to bloom between the newly married couple, Nic and Aubrey as Aubrey carves out her path as the lady of the ranch. The stumbling blocks build for Aubrey as she dives into country life with her husband. Barely adjusted to ranch life, Aubrey saddles up for an over-the-top lesson in horseback riding. When life on the ranch seems to be back on a normal pace, Aubrey's long time friend, Gina, turns Nic's peaceful life upside down for a month long visit. The two executive chefs', Aubrey and Gina, are presented with a business adventure they can hardly refuse. Nic's ever burning desire for Aubrey leads them into finding new and creative ways to keep their romance alive and thriving. Stirring the pot of emotion even deeper, Aubrey is hit with a sudden jealousy she never knew existed in her when Nic's old flame returns to shake up the honeymooners.
