Aurora Community Theatre will present its One Acts Festival Sept. 13 through 15.
The festival will include nine short plays which last about 10 minutes each. Directors are Don Bernardo and Greg Bealer. Brenda Redmond is producer.
There is a five-judge panel to judge the plays. Judges include:
Jan Jones, former Cleveland TV co-host and volunteer for many local theatre groups
Loree Vick, media advisor for University Hospitals, and award winning TV personality
Paula Kline-Messner, four time television Emmy Award winner, actor and director
Don "Arbie" Arbuckle, frequent ACT actor and set construction manager
Jean Arbuckle, set decorator, producer and volunteer for innumerable ACT shows
The festival starts at 8 p.m. on Sept. 13 and 14, and at 2 p.m. Sept. 15, and premieres the plays of Mark Fradl, Bob Abelman, Doug Boat, George J. Bryjak, Thomas Keptner and David Vazdauskas. The audience can vote for a favorite play, and judges and audience awards will follow Sunday's performance. A $200 Audience Choice Award and a $200 Judge's Award will be presented following the closing performance as well. Tickets are $10.
