Slither through Peninsula, seek out pythons and learn the story of the Peninsula Python! Come meet some live pythons at the Boston Township Hall, check out the library for a snake program, slide in all the stores and find more python activities. Don’t forget to stop by the Cuyahoga Valley Historical Museum to learn the real story of the Peninsula Python. If you live in town, you are invited to decorate your yard in python fashion.

1:30 pm - Python Parade
The parade beings at Terry Lumber and proceeds up Main Street to the Peninsula Library. Follow the Python as he slithers up the street to hide in the front yard of the Peninsula Library.

Where in Peninsula is the python? Find out at the Cuyahoga Valley Historical Museum from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Peninsula Python Day Saturday July 20. Learn about the real history of the Peninsula Python in our exhibit and join the Python Posse by playing a game of Peninsula Python Pandemonium and color your own python. Win prizes and enjoy some squirmy treats.

Cryptozoological Creatures to Python Fest in Peninsula

Enjoy this excursion filled with fantastic tales of mysterious creatures said to roam throughout the Cuyahoga Valley and Northeast Ohio. Hear both old and new stories of Bigfoot, the Mothman, the Peninsula Python and many, many more. Authors Ken Summers and Jeri Holland will be on board sharing info about the many creatures in your backyard. The train will depart Peninsula at 3:20 for a 4 pm arrival back at Rockside. Live Readings (with hats) of the story of the Peninsula Python

Listen to George and Katie Hoy as they bring life to the story of the Peninsula Python. The story is told in limerick style in the book The Peninsula Python written by George with illustrations by Honore Guilbeau Cooke (in 1945), and Joan Inderhees of Kent. This delightful book will be on sale at the G.A.R. Hall at a special $3 price during Python Day.
