Enjoy 'Porridgegate' at HHS Feb. 10-12

The Hudson High School Drama Department presents its Children's Play, "Porridgegate" by Charlie Lovett on Feb. 10 and 11 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

The play is directed by Sergio Iriarte. Tickets are available at the door.

When a bowl of porridge goes missing, scandal breaks out in the forest. Laugh along with this fractured fairy tale featuring Goldie Locks and The Three Little Pigs.

Magician to perform at PTO night Feb. 10

Magician Rick Smith Jr. has appeared on "Ellen," "America's Got Talent," and "The Tonight Show" and now he'll be in Hudson for PTO Family Magic Night.

Smith's fast-paced blend of magic, comedy and illusion has stunned audiences around the globe, and in 2002 he received an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records for throwing a playing card more than 216 feet.

Doors open at 6:15 p.m. on Feb. 10, at Hudson Middle School, 77 N. Oviatt St. Proceeds go to Hudson PTO. For tickets and more information visit www.HudsonPTO.org.

Authors to visit During Right to Read Week

Hudson PTO will host authors Marilyn Sadler and Jeff Miller this March for Right to Read Week. In advance of their visits, PTO is offering their books for purchase at a discount. Ordered books will be autographed by the authors. Parents can shop online at the PTO Store www.HudsonPTO.org/PTOStore/htmlor download an order form to return to the schools. Apply for the Michael-Waly Scholarship

Hudson Community First is accepting nominations for the Michael-Waly Scholarship. This annual scholarship recognizes a graduating High School senior residing in Hudson who has made a positive impact on someone else's life. Nomination forms are available on the Hudson Community First website at www.hudsoncommunityfirst.com and are due by March 24.
