National Merit Scholarship Corporation has named more than 800 additional winners of National Merit Scholarships financed by colleges and universities.
Winners from Hudson include: James Douglass and Michael J. Zeleznik.
Douglass is from Hudson High School and his probable career field is business. He earned the National Merit George Washington University Scholarship.
Zeleznik is from Western Reserve Academy and his probable career field is engineering. He earned the National Merit Northeastern University Scholarship.
These Merit Scholar designees join approximately 3,000 other college-sponsored award recipients who were announced in June.
College-sponsored awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.
