Author Eric Litwin coming to Ellsworth Hill Elementary

Published:

Award-winning author Eric Litwin will provide a free assembly to students at Ellsworth Hill Elementary School on Thursday, Sept. 11, to introduce his new book, "The Nuts: Bedtime at the Nut House." Hudson PTO, in conjunction with The Learned Owl, is hosting the event.

As the author of the first four Pete the Cat picture books, which have sold over 1.5 million copies and have been translated into seven languages, Litwin is also a singer, songwriter, educator and nationally respected keynote speaker on interactive literacy and music. "The Nuts: Bedtime at the Nut House" is based on a song developed by the author and performed in front of numerous audiences. The song, and an additional lullaby, can be downloaded for free at www.thenutfamily.com. Litwin's expert use of repetition, call-and-response, and clever rhyme offers an unforgettable interactive reading experience for readers young and old.

Copies of "The Nuts: Bedtime at the Nut House" are available for purchase through the Hudson PTO website at hudsonpto.org or download a copy of the order form and mail in your order. Eric Litwin will sign all copies of the book sold through Hudson PTO during his school visit. If a child does not attend Ellsworth Hill or Hudson schools, they may still order a book, and PTO will make arrangements to deliver it. Order deadline is Aug. 27. Any questions concerning the school visit or book orders can be directed to Kris Stoehr at krisstoehr@gmail.com.
