Hudson Elementary Schools recently had their Right To Read Week. During the week, two authors visited the school: Nathan Hale came to East Woods and McDowell and Betsey Snyder visited Evamere and Ellsworth. East Woods Elementary students participated in a comic strip contest during PTO-sponsored Right to Read Week. Inspired by visiting author Nathan Hale, fourth- and fifth-grade students created one-page stories using their artistic and storytelling skills. Entries were accepted in fantasy and historical categories. Winners were, from left: Anna Mullner (fourth grade), Cecily Merrick (fifth grade), Mary Bridget Perez (fifth grade), Lily Swain (ffith grade), Constance Loring (fourth grade) and Yeji Kim (fifth grade). Missing from the photo is Morgan Hurdy (fourth grade). More photos can be found on Page 7.
