Hudson Middle School sixth graders Olivia Robinson and Connor Schleper were nominated and chosen for recognition by the "Kids Making a Difference" program, which is sponsored by The Royster Group and hosted by the Hudson Parent Teacher Organization. Students were chosen for their significant accomplishments or achievements in and/or out of school and for helping others and contributing to their school and community in a positive manner.

Olivia Robinson is in the Integrity community at the Hudson Middle School. She was nominated for her genuine kindness and empathy for others. Her positive attitude, sense of justice, and energy set a good example of wonderful character for her peers and teachers. Olivia volunteers once a week at the Western Reserve Library and also assists special needs students at HMS. She plays saxophone in the school band and participates in choir, softball, Girls Scouts, and 4 Kids. She enjoys doing art projects and won first place in the 2013 Hudson Library art show. Olivia's future plans include attending college, writing a bestselling novel and helping others throughout her lifetime. When it comes to kids making a difference, Olivia thinks "it's important to try to be kind to everyone

every day."

Connor Schleper is a member of the Hudson Middle School Respect community. Connor was nominated because he is a genuinely caring and compassionate person who regularly takes the time to do something kind and help someone out. At school, Connor tries to support his classmates whenever he can and never puts up with bullying. He plays sports year round including football, basketball, skiing and lacrosse. He also plays saxophone and takes care of his pets which include a dog, a guinea pig, a horse, and a Chinese water dragon. He looks forward to playing football and lacrosse for Hudson High School and a future career in science. Connor believes all kids can make a difference. "I treat people how I would want to be treated. I respect others' beliefs and interests and help others in any way they need help."

The Hudson PTO congratulates these outstanding kids who are making a real difference in their school and community. The PTO thanks The Royster Group for their sponsorship of this program and for their generous donation each month. The proceeds of their donation will assist the children of the Hudson City Schools.
