Seton Catholic School students learn about Mental Wellness Week

Published:

Seton eighth grade students, Brendan McNamara and Casey Semple kicked off Mental Wellness Week at Seton Catholic School on the Feb. 10 morning announcements on live SCS TV to all the students and staff. This is a Hudson Community First program sponsored by The Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation. At Seton a lei was distributed to each of the students to wear for the day as a reminder to enjoy sunshine. (Somewhat of a challenge this winter - finding that sunshine.) Each day during the week there were additional reminders for ways to boost wellness. The following are the Just Breathe Mental Wellness Initiatives discussed during the week: Enjoy Sunshine - each student wears a lei; Sleep Well - each student receives a special bookmark; Connect With Others - students help others boost happiness & write down their thoughts; Eat Healthy and Get Moving - each student receives a wrist band with the Eat Healthy message; Be Hopeful; and Just Breathe.
