WRA winter concert set for Feb. 28

WRA Orchestra, Academy Choir and the Symphonic Winds to perform at Knight Fine Arts Center

Western Reserve Academy will present its second concert of the season on Feb. 28 at 8 p.m. in the Knight Fine Arts Center.

The concert will feature performances by the WRA Orchestra, Academy Choir and the Symphonic Winds.

The feature piece of the evening will be a multimedia performance by the Symphonic Winds commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. The Symphonic Winds will also perform Gene Milford's Fantasy on English Folksongs.

The WRA Orchestra will perform Mozart's Concerto No. 4 in D Major for Violin and Orchestra, featuring Ann Yu '14 on violin, and will join with the Symphonic Winds on a selection of music from the movie Gladiator.

The Academy Choir will perform with the Symphonic Winds on Eric Whitacre's Sleep. The concert is free. The Knight Fine Arts Center is located on the WRA campus at the corner of Aurora and Oviatt Streets.
