The Hudson Homecoming Football Game Sept. 27 is going to be one rocking night in Hudson--or better yet--one rocket night in Hudson. American Fireworks will add to the festivities by donating fireworks to accent the evening. This is a first-time partnership with the Hudson-based American Fireworks Company and Hudson Schools' Athletics.
"We are very excited about the fireworks accents that American Fireworks is planning for this very special evening. Their donation to Homecoming, the Hall of Fame Ceremony, and the football game will create lasting memories for our students and fans," said Superintendent Phil Herman. "Many people in Hudson don't realize how much American Fireworks does for the community. They are so humble about their contributions, but we can't thank them loudly enough."
American Fireworks will provide accents to the pre-game Hall of Fame Ceremony and during the Hudson "Swing Marching Band" playing of the National Anthem. In addition, they will salute the football players, the crowning of the Homecoming Queen and King, and every "touchdown" scored by the Explorers during the game.
According to Roberto Sorgi, President of the American Fireworks Company, they are providing more fireworks for high school athletic events in Northeast Ohio. "We are very happy to donate the fireworks for the Hudson High Homecoming Game," said Sorgi.
"We always enjoy a great competition with Cuyahoga Falls," said Ray Ebersole, Athletic Director. "The added events and fireworks will just add to the incredible atmosphere of game night."
The pregame festivities will begin at approximately 6:40 p.m. It is suggested fans come early. The gates open at 5:30 p.m.
