Seton enjoys some Pi

Published:

March 14 was Pi Day, a day to celebrate the wonder of the mathematical constant of 3.14159 - and also eat a piece of pie in the math classrooms at Seton Catholic School with teachers, Mr. Greg Selner and Mrs. Therese Stepanek. Students measured items ranging from small soup cans, to hula hoops, to a large truck tire for math examples. Pi is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter and is represented by the 16th letter of the Greek alphabet ("π") and is often written simply as "pi."
