Seton students watch as pope announced

Published:

Seton Catholic School of Hudson witnessed an historical event through live stream video from the Vatican to each classroom, student, teacher and staff just moments before dismissal March 13.

White Smoke!

A memorable moment at Seton Catholic School as students and teachers waited and watched for the announcement of Pope Francis to the world. Habemus Papam (Latin for "We have a Pope), Argentinean Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, S.J., the first Jesuit pope in history, was elected to the papacy, taking the name of Pope Francis. The Seton Catholic School community joined the world in praying for the new Pope.
