Hudson's annual Sidewalk Sale will take place Thursday through Sunday, July 2023.
After two years of construction, the Main Street sidewalks will be open and ready for the sale. While some final items need to be completed, beautiful wide sidewalks and paved roads will welcome all visitors. Businesses from one end of town to the other be offering great bargains in order to make room for new Fall merchandise.
Sidewalks will be lined with tables and racks full of sale items, and many businesses continue the sale inside. Erin Chenault of Viva Bene Gourmet says "most of my sale will be inside -- too hard to carry all those wine bottles out!"
Eric Pickering of Epiphany says "it will be 70 percent on many items we can't wait to start displaying our new stock."
At the south end of Hudson, Olive My Heart has specials on all sizes of an assortment of Balsamic vinegars, and certain extra virgin olive oils already poured for quick sale.
Gwendolyn Elizabeth in Acme Plaza has introduced a new fragrance reflective of the flowers and trees grown in Rwanda. Founder Gwendolyn Carson says that "proceeds from Rwandan Floral lotion benefit the Friends of Rwandan Education organization. It's one of the many grassroots charities the company donates to. In addition, 10 percent of all store sales during the Sidewalk Sale will go back to this organization."
The Sidewalk Sale has been occurring each July for more than three decades, and attendance has become a tradition for many.
Katie Coulton, owner of the Grey Colt, has out-of-town customers who plan their vacations so they can visit Hudson during the sale.
