Hudson Job search will present "Job Search Potpourri" a panel made up of local experts on various aspects of job search that job seekers often have questions about. Mark your calendar for July 17 to hear these speakers.

"Should 'Franchisee' Be Your Next Job Title?"

Terese McGroarty works for FranNet North East Ohio as a Franchise Specialist.

Terese McGroarty will discuss finding a franchise that is the right fit, knowing what the role of the owner is when you are looking for a franchise and understanding a Franchise Disclosure Document. According to Terese, "There are many people out there with an entrepreneurial spirit but are unsure what to do with it and that's where I can help. My goal is to assist those people find the business that falls in line with their overall goals, personality and professional skill set."

"Legal Issues Important to Job Seekers"

Barbara Leukart, ESQ, a local attorney and Hudson resident will be addressing legal issues important to job seekers (e.g.: non-compete contracts).

Barbara Leukart has worked in all areas of labor and employment relations. She has defended numerous Title VII, age discrimination, and Americans with Disabilities Act cases at the administrative, trial, and appellate levels. Her experience also includes the litigation of wrongful discharge, employment contract, and intentional tort cases

Hudson Job Search meets the first and third Monday evening of each month at Christ Church Episcopal, 21 Aurora St. Parking is behind the church, enter through the back double door and follow the signs to the Parish Hall.
