Meet author Wendy Webb at Learned Owl June 17

Published: June 14, 2017 12:00 AM

Come to The Learned Owl Book Shop Saturday, June 17, from 1 to 3 p.m. to meet Wendy Webb, one of our favorite authors! She will be here with her exciting new mystery "The End of Temperance Dare," a book that you will be swept into as soon as you begin it. Ms. Webb is an energetic and delightful guest and you will want to read all of her work.

A native of Minnesota and a career journalist, Ms. Webb knew she wanted to be a writer since she read "A Wrinkle in Time" when she was 11 years old. After college she got a job with an arts and entertainment weekly in Minneapolis and is currently the editor-in-chief of Duluth Superior Magazine, a lifestyle monthly based in Duluth, Minnesota.

When her son, Ben, went away to school she was able to fulfill her dream of becoming a novelist. She has written four deliciously suspenseful novels to date: "The Tale of Halcyon Crane," "The Fate of Mercy Alban," "The Vanishing," and her newest, "The End of Temperance Dare." Each of them deserves to be on the bookshelves of everyone with a taste for gothic suspense, twists and turns, and endings you won't see coming!

Wendy divides her time between homes in Duluth and Minneapolis and a cabin on the Gunflint Trail, which is on the border of Minnesota and Canada.
