Farmers Market season continues with Summit Master Gardeners

Published: June 7, 2017 12:00 AM

The Hudson Farmers Market season continues on June 10 with a visit from the Summit County Master Gardeners. These master gardeners will be on hand to answer your gardening questions and as usual, we'll have the best local plants on sale from long-time market vendor Robinson's Lawn and Garden Center.

The Hudson Montessori Children's Tent will have activities relating to gardening too.

Music will be provided by cellist Carolina Borja.

In addition, if you bring a receipt from one of the Main Street Merchants located between 303 & Owen Brown St. to the Hudson Farmer's Market Main Tent, you will receive a free insulated Hudson Farmer's Market tote bag. Receipt must be dated within the last 7 days to be eligible.

The Hudson Farmers Market nurtures Hudson through fresh and healthy local produce, but it also fosters community by bringing Hudsonites together. Our farmers and gardeners have fresh tomatoes, pumpkins, lettuce, herbs, flowers and apples. Additionally, other vendors have fresh pasta, breads, meats and cheese, and of course, there will be local honey from Aurora Honey for purchase at their booth.

The Hudson Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from June 3 until Oct. 7, on the historic Clock Tower Green.

The Hudson Farmers Market is a nonprofit born from a project of Leadership Hudson, a program sponsored by The Rotary Club of Hudson Clock Tower, and a collaboration between community leaders and civic-minded residents. Now in its tenth season, The Hudson Farmers Market is generously sponsored by the Burton D. Morgan Foundation and Hudson Montessori School. The market serves as an incubator to local entrepreneurs and an economic driver to downtown Hudson. With approximately 30 diverse vendors, the Hudson Farmers Market attracts over 20,000 people to downtown Hudson over the summer and autumn seasons.
